WELCOME TO

CHURCH OF GOD (SEVENTH-DAY)
STOKE-ON-TRENT, UK.

Our Church

Introducing the Church of God (Seventh Day) The British Conference of the Church of God (Seventh Day) is a family of congregations scattered throughout the United Kingdom. We are a strong Bible based and needs focused church whose ultimate goal is to proclaim the gospel of Christ at any and every given opportunity. The British Conference of the church is also affiliated with the congregations of the General Conference in the United States and Canada and the International Ministerial Congress. Overall, the Church of God (Seventh Day), started in the mid-1800's, is therefore a global church, connecting more than 300,000 members around the world. Now whilst the Church of God (Seventh Day) has been around for a long time, our bible-based values have not changed. We believe that these five aspects define the core virtues of our church. 1.Christ Centred Denomination: We believe that Christ is the head of the Church and He is to be exalted in worship, teaching, preaching and ministry 2.Bible Based: We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is inerrant in its teachings 3.Evangelical: We believe in regeneration (new birth) by the Holy Spirit. Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. 4.Spirit Filled: We believe the Holy Spirit bears witness of Christ as Saviour, imparts gifts to believers and empowers them for witness and ministry. 5.Sabbath Observing: We believe the observance of the Sabbath is a response of love and obedience to God who created it in the beginning and commanded that it be remembered.

our doors are open to welcome members of our community to share with us the love of God and the gift of God imbedded in each of us.

The Stoke Church will love to hear from you and engage with you.

Who are the Church of God (Seventh Day)?

We are a Christ Centered Denomination. We are Bible based and believe the word is inerrant in it's teachings. We are evangelical and believe in new birth by the Holy Spirit. We are Spirit filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are Sabbath observing and believe that it should be kept holy. We are outward looking and believe that Christ came to save all mankind.

What do we do?

We do what Christ has called us to do and that is ultimately to preach the good news of His resurrection, salvation and coming Kingdom that is free and available to all who would choose to accept Him as their personal saviour. We aim to achieve this goal though a holistic approach at meeting people where they are and at the various points in their lives. Ultimately we:

  • Worship as a priority and expression of our love for God.
  • Evangelise to the world the hope that is Jesus Christ.
  • Focus on the spiritual development of the individual believer.
  • Encourage fellowship as commitment to His body. We function best through fellowship and unity.
  • Seek to demonstrate that genuine love for Jesus translates into passionate service to others.
